This morning, Wang Hua, Head of Public Relations at Xiaomi, answered questions from Weibo users about the name of the Xiaomi Civi Pro smartphone. He stated that he had not heard anything about such a smartphone.

Earlier, a smartphone appeared on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, which is very similar to Xiaomi Civi, but equipped with a 6.55-inch curved 4K OLED screen (3840 x 2160 pixels) and an octa-core single-chip system with a clock speed of 2.4GHz. The amount of RAM is 6, 8, 12 or 16 GB, and the amount of flash memory is 64, 128, 256 or 512 GB.

It is also known that the battery capacity will be 4500 mAh, and the smartphone will receive an iris recognition function, which is rarely found in modern devices.

Wang Hua’s statement is not proof that Xiaomi has no plans to release this smartphone. Perhaps it just leaked ahead of time, or the phone will be released under a different name.
