For several years now, there have been rumors about the re-release of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6. More than four years have passed since its announcement, and users are in no hurry to change the model to a new one due to the lack of affordable and worthy compact flagships on the market.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun directly hints that the re-release of the smartphone in 2017 is not worth waiting for. Instead, he recommends owners of an older Xiaomi Mi 6 take a closer look at the relatively recently announced affordable Snapdragon 870-powered Redmi K40 flagship. It starts at $310 in China.
It is hard to imagine why users should choose this particular model if compactness is in the foreground for them. Redmi K40, which we know as POCO F3, although it has a thin frame, it remains bulkier than Xiaomi Mi 6
.
The 2017 flagship measures 145.2 x 70.5 x 7.5mm with a 5.15-inch screen and weighs 168g. The ceramic version weighs 14g more. Redmi K40 has a 6.67-inch display. Overall dimensions — 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8 mm. Weight — 196 g.
