Xiaomi announced MIUI 12.5 with enhancements along with MIUI for Pad tablets earlier this month during the launch of MIX 4. At that time, the Chinese tech giant only released details of the firmware release in China, providing a list of models that should receive the update in the near future. Now, Xiaomi has announced that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is coming soon to models around the world.

In a post to the global Mi community, the company revealed a list of nine models that will receive the update first — all models are flagship phones. Here are the models that will receive the update first (for the global market):

Mi 11

Mi 11 Ultra

Mi 11i

Mi 11X Pro

Mi 11X

Mi 10T Pro

Mi 10T

Mi 10 Pro

Mi 10

The company also said that the update for these models will begin in the fourth quarter of the year, that is, at any time from October 2021. It is also worth noting that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is an improved version of MIUI 12.5, which is also a modified version of MIUI 12. And according to Xiaomi, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition contains fixes for 160 system process issues and 224 system app issues. The system also has comprehensive optimization, which makes it more comfortable to work with smartphones, play games and so on. We expect the company’s other smartphones to also receive the update in the foreseeable future, but there’s simply no word on that yet. However, the company is under no obligation to update non-flagships, especially outdated models.
