Xiaomi officially announced several new products today, including the Xiaomi Mi TV 5X range of TVs, which are available in three different sizes with 43, 50 and 55-inch screens.
All three TVs in the Mi TV 5X series feature 4K panels with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The TVs are Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certified. The 10-bit panel covers 94% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. These are premium TVs with a frameless design: the 43-inch version has an effective screen area of 95.4%, the 50-inch has 95.9%, and the 55-inch has 96.6%.
Xiaomi Mi TV 5X is equipped with stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. The larger 50-inch and 55-inch variants have 40-watt speakers, while the 43-inch version has 30-watt speakers. The TVs also feature long-range microphones that support Google Assistant.
Xiaomi Mi TV 5X supports HDMI 2.1 with eARC, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There are three HDMI ports, two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, optical and AV input, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The TVs are equipped with a 64-bit platform with four Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali G52 MP2 GPU. They received 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory. Xiaomi claims an input lag of 6.5ms at 4K resolution and 60Hz.
Like all Mi TVs, the Mi TV 5X runs PatchWall, Xiaomi’s UI that sits on top of Android TV 10. You also get Chromecast built-in.
