New details about the IQOO 8 Pro smartphone have appeared on the Web, and this time they can be given semi-official status: the specifications were revealed during a closed presentation of the brand’s new flagships.
The highlight of the IQOO 8 Pro is the display: it is the world’s first smartphone with a Samsung E5 Super AMOLED panel — most of today’s flagships are equipped with E3 generation OLED screens. The E5 does not differ much from the E3 in terms of performance (3200 x 1440 pixels and 120Hz frame rate), but the use of LTPO technology provided a wide range of frame rates from 1 to 120Hz in 1Hz increments, and further reduced power consumption. The E5 generation screen is now credited to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but that smartphone won’t be released until early next year, with the IQOO 8 Pro debuting in the coming weeks. By the way, the diagonal of its screen is 6.78 inches.
The rest of the characteristics of IQOO 8 Pro are at the level of the latest flagships — Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and Honor Magic3 Pro. So, the smartphone received a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ single-chip platform, LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1. The main camera of the model is represented by sensors with a resolution of 50, 48 and 16 megapixels. The first pictures taken by IQOO 8 Pro have already appeared on the network, and they look impressive. Of course, the main camera has an optical stabilization system. The resolution of the front camera sensor is 16 megapixels.
The IQOO 8 Pro configuration also includes a 4500mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also supports 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone also received a dual vibration motor, an NFC adapter, a fingerprint scanner under the screen, Android 11 OS. As reported, the basic version of IQOO 8 Pro will have 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, in the top 12 and 512 GB, respectively.
