Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will receive a 5-nanometer Snapdragon 888+ single-chip system. It differs from the Snapdragon 888 only in the increased peak frequency of the Cortex-X1 Prime core from 2.84 GHz to 2.995 GHz. It is still unclear how this will affect actual performance, but no change is seen in synthetics.
In single-core mode, the smartphone scored 857 points. In multi-core mode, the result is 2995 points. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S21 scores an average of 910 parrots and 2980 parrots on the Snapdragon 888 test, respectively. As you can see, the Snapdragon 888+ performed even worse in single-core mode, despite the increased frequency. Perhaps the final version of the smartphone will pass the test more confidently.
Recall that Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is the second model of the series in 2021 after the Mi Mix foldable phone. The presentation is scheduled for August 10th.
