Xiaomi has launched two models of low-cost laptops on the market: RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook E-Learning, designed for office tasks and capable of providing computer support to college and school students.
Both models are assembled in exactly the same cases, the difference between RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook E-Learning lies in the hardware base, running on 11th generation Intel chips. A more powerful RedmiBook Pro laptop designed for demanding professional tasks is equipped with an Intel Core i5-11300H processor. Graphics are processed by the Iris Xe video processor. The Pro series laptop is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
Designed for students and students, the less powerful RedmiBook eLearning laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, 256GB SATA SSD or 512GB NVMe SSD, 8GB DDR4 (3200MHz) RAM.
The rest of the computer settings are identical. Both devices come with a polycarbonate body, weigh 1.8kg, are 19.9mm thick, and feature a large 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display. The computers are equipped with webcams (720p) located at the top center of the front display surface, a scissor keyboard (1.5 mm travel) and a large square trackpad.
Wireless communication is provided by Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5.0 technologies. The case has USB 2.0 connectors, two USB 3.2 Gen1, HDMI1.4, Ethernet, and a 3.5mm headphone port. Audio is broadcast using 2-watt stereo speakers. There is a slot for expanding the memory using an SD card. The 46W battery supports battery life with 65W fast charging and 0-80% energy recovery in 53 minutes and 0-50% in just 33 minutes. Both computers are running Windows 10 Home.
The presentation of laptops took place in India, where the sale of computers starts on August 6th. The RedmiBook e-learning model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs $565, while the RedmiBook e-learning laptop with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage will go on sale for $605. The top model RedmiBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will sell for $675.
