Xiaomi continues to explore the possibility of releasing smartphones with an original design: the description of the next device, according to LetsGoDigital, is published on the website of the State Administration for Intellectual Property of the People’s Republic of China (China National Intellectual Property Administration, CNIPA).

This device is devoid of the traditional front camera. This will allow you to get rid of the display from a hole or cutout, realizing a completely frameless design.

For selfies, it is proposed to use a multi-module rear view camera. To do this, the corresponding block will be raised above the body and rotated 180 degrees, being in front.

The illustrations show a camera with three components, including a large central element. Of course, the configuration of this block may vary.

The device does not display a fingerprint scanner — it can be integrated directly into the screen area. At the bottom of the device, there is a USB Type-C port and a SIM card slot.

So far, alas, it is not clear whether Xiaomi is going to bring a smartphone with the described design to the commercial market. Now the device exists only in patent documentation.
