Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand created by Xiaomi, has hinted through the Weibo social network that another smartphone is being prepared in the Redmi K40 family.
The series already includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870-powered Redmi K40 base model, the Snapdragon 888-powered Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+, and the MediaTek Dimension 1200-powered Redmi K40 Enhanced Edition game (pictured in the first image).
The upcoming smartphone can be called Redmi K40 Light Luxury. It is not yet clear how it will differ from existing options. Online sources talk about using the latest MediaTek processor.
We are talking about the product Dimension 900, which debuted just a few days ago. The chip combines eight processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz, an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 graphics accelerator, and a 5G SA/NSA modem with data transfer rates up to 2.7 Gbps.
It is possible that the Redmi K40 Light Luxury device will receive a display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Camera configuration, memory capacity and battery capacity have not yet been disclosed. Apparently, the official presentation of new items will take place in the current or next month.
