The Chinese company Xiaomi, according to Internet sources, is developing two flagship smartphones, the K8 and J18s. It is claimed that these will be the first Xiaomi devices equipped with a camera hidden behind the display.

The J18s is known to be Xiaomi’s second flexible smartphone after the Mi Mix Fold (shown in the images). The latter is equipped with a flexible 8.01-inch screen with a resolution of 2480 × 1860 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, as well as an external 6.52-inch display with a resolution of 2520 × 840 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It uses a Snapdragon 888 processor.

The upcoming Xiaomi J18s smartphone is reported to have a flexible screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. There are speculations that the new product could be an improved version of the Mi Mix Fold.

The upcoming device is credited with a triple camera with a 108-megapixel main sensor, a unit with 3x optical zoom and a module with wide-angle optics.

At the moment, there is practically no information about the characteristics of the K8 model. He will probably get a classic monoblock form factor with a sub-screen selfie camera. The announcement of new products may take place in the current or next quarter.

According to IDC estimates, 345.5 million smartphones were sold worldwide in the first quarter of this year. This is 25.5% more than last year’s result. Xiaomi with a share of 14.1% ranked third in the ranking of the leading suppliers.
