The founder and CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun (Lei Jun) on his page responded to the criticism of users of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra about the additional screen located on the back.
This screen has received mixed reactions from fans. Some people think that this is not superfluous, while others did not like this idea. Lei Jun believes that the second screen is not too big to catch the eye, and it also did not significantly increase the cost of the smartphone. Lei Jun also added that the only problem that Xiaomi had in developing the secondary display was the free space.
For those complaining about the oversized camera unit with an additional screen, the head of the company replied that this phone is intended for professional photographers, and also recommended that they pay attention to the Mi 11 Pro. In addition, some users criticize too much weight of the smartphone.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra uses the same OLED panel as Mi Band 5. The secondary screen displays the time, weather, animations and themes. Users can receive notifications as well as receive an image from the main camera.
Lei Jun also announced that an update will be released soon to address the issue that users are unable to turn off secondary screen notifications.
