Xiaomi is now directing the main attention of developers to bring to mind the proprietary shell of MIUI 12.5. Meanwhile, the official debut of MIUI 13 should take place very soon.
MIUI 12.5 could be considered an interim skin update, but MIUI 13 should be a significant release. According to the latest reports from industry sources, Xiaomi will introduce MIUI 13 before the end of the second quarter of 2021. Even the possible date for the presentation in China is called June 25th.
Please note that this is not about an imminent release, but only about the announcement of a new version of the shell. At the moment, stable builds of MIUI 12.5 have already begun to be released in China. However, the global version of MIUI 12.5 is still in the testing phase, although it is expected to be released soon for the first models of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones.
