Xiaomi previously publicly confirmed that Xiaomi’s tablet lineup, which hasn’t been updated in a while, will get new models this year. Sources say that Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has already been sent for certification, so the tablet will go on sale soon.
According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will feature an 11-inch 2K resolution screen with a high refresh rate of 120 or 144Hz. The source emphasizes that the screen in Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will be better in quality and refresh rate than in existing Apple iPad tablets.
Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro models are expected to be released in the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 line, which are equipped with MediaTek Dimension 1200 and Snapdragon 870 single-chip systems, respectively. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro model will compete with the iPad and Huawei MatePad Pro.
The tablet will run a special version of the MIUI shell, which adapts the content to the big screen. A similar version of MIUI has already been implemented for the large screen of the Xiaomi Mix Fold foldable smartphone.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is also expected to support a stylus and four Harman/Kardon speakers.
