The new visual identity was designed by Kenya Hara, a professor at Musashino University of the Arts and president of the Nippon Design Center. The new Xiaomi logo, reflecting the brand changes, is presented in the form of a square with rounded edges, similar to app icon designations. The brand name uses a new font with rounded letters. According to the creators, the mathematical formula «superellipse» was used to form the logo, which makes it possible to obtain a harmonious figure, balanced between the shape of a square and a circle. Orange will remain the main corporate color, but Xiaomi will also use black and silver as additional elements for its premium products.
