Today, March 29, the Chinese company Xiaomi officially unveiled the long-awaited Mi Band 6 (Mi Smart Band 6) fitness bracelet, which will go on sale next month.
The gadget received a 1.56-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (Mi Band 5 had a 1.1-inch display). The screen of the novelty has a resolution of 152 × 486 pixels, a pixel density of 326 PPI (dots per inch) and a brightness of up to 450 cd / m2.
The device received a PPG sensor to track changes in heart rate. In addition, the novelty is able to measure the level of oxygen in the blood (SpO2 indicator).
There is a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer. 30 different sports and fitness modes are available. The bracelet can measure sleep quality, stress levels, as well as traditional indicators such as the number of steps taken and calories burned.
The Bluetooth 5.0 controller is responsible for communication with the smartphone: we are talking about compatibility with devices running Android 5.0 and higher, iOS 10 and higher. Implemented support for smart assistant Alexa.
The tracker is protected from moisture (class 5ATM). Power is provided by a 125 mAh battery, which will last a maximum of 14 days of operation. A full charge takes less than two hours.
Xiaomi Mi Band 6 will be offered in NFC-enabled and non-NFC-enabled versions, priced at $42 and $35 respectively.
