Xiaomi has just announced the new Mi AX9000 gaming Wi-Fi router that supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
The router is based on Qualcomm’s six-core single-chip system, which includes a quad-core processor and a dual-core NPU. The manufacturer calls the router tri-band. In addition to the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, a third 5G_Game band is being announced, which, as the name suggests, is for gaming.
The new Mi AX9000 router also supports MU-MIMO and OFDMA, which means it can support up to 16 devices. The router received a new design with an octagonal body plan, as well as four antennas and four network ports on the rear panel. It is noteworthy that the company also equipped the device with a USB 3.0 port.
For cooling, the device is equipped with one fan. Xiaomi Mi AX9000 supports data transfer rates up to 4804 Mbps. Xiaomi has also focused on connectivity and range: the new router can deliver high speeds up to 12 meters through any walls or obstacles in the home.
The device is priced at $150.
