Xiaomi, as promised, today announced its new budget flagship Xiaomi Mi 10S in China.
What is known
The novelty is an improved version of last year’s Mi 10, while the appearance of the device is similar to the Mi 10 Ultra.
The device is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. It received curved edges, a hole for the front camera, a frequency of 90 Hz, a peak brightness of 1120 nits and tempered glass Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the novelty was installed with a fresh 7-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor with eight cores and an Adreno 650 graphics accelerator. The chip works paired with 8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of ROM and a liquid cooling system.
As for autonomy, a 4780 mAh battery is responsible for it. It supports 33W wired charging. In addition, the device has 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
The front camera in Xiaomi Mi 10S is one at 16 MP. The chief, in turn, received four sensors. The main one is 108 MP with f/1.69 aperture and OIS support. It is complemented by a 13-megapixel 123-degree wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and the same depth sensor. The camera can record 8K video at 30fps.
The device comes preloaded with Android OS 11 and MIUI shell 12. The novelty has an under-screen scanner, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, IR sensor, X-axis linear vibration motor and Harman Kardon stereo speakers, just like Mi 11. By the way, they got 80 points in the DxOMark test. It is currently the best indicator on the market.
Price and when to expect
Sales of Xiaomi Mi 10S will start in China on March 12. Whether the novelty will appear on the world market is unknown.
