Realme was expected to launch its first set-top box called the Realme 4K Google TV Stick that runs Google TV back in September, but that didn’t happen. Now the manufacturer has confirmed that the novelty will be released on October 13th.
The Google TV Stick Realme 4K will be the second portable streaming device to feature Google TV. The first is a Chromecast with Google TV. At the same time, Google TV Stick Realme 4K will be able to beat Chromecast with Google TV and Xiaomi Mi TV Stick.
Google TV Stick Realme 4K will support leading streaming platforms and various apps, as well as games from the Play Store. The new TV drive will be able to output 4K content at 60fps with HDR10+ support. It will have an HDMI 2.1 port, built-in support for Chromecast and Google Assistant.
Google TV Stick Realme 4K will receive 16 GB of flash memory, while at least 12 GB will be available to users. As a reminder, Chromecast with Google TV only has about 5 GB of flash storage available to users (out of 8 GB). Xiaomi Mi TV Stick also has 8 GB of flash memory.
The Realme 4K Google TV Stick will also have dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a sub-$65 price tag.
