Xiaomi has no plans to release Android 12 software for flagship smartphones in 2019. But this does not mean that the owners of these models will not be able to install a new version of the operating system.

Enthusiast abhishek987 has developed a custom build based on Android 12 for Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro. According to the developer, his version of the software is stable, but there were some nuances.

Since Google did not fully release the source code, it was necessary to implement the dynamic color feature using third-party solutions. The files to install the software are already available on the XDA developer forum along with instructions.

Recall that the official Android 12 with MIUI 12.5 is currently receiving the flagship models of the Xiaomi Mi 11 family with a Snapdragon 888 processor, as well as Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+. The update is being sent as part of the Mi pilot program.
