Strategy Analytics has published statistics on the 5G smartphone market in Central and Eastern Europe. The Chinese company Xiaomi has become the leader of the industry.

According to the results of the third quarter of this year, Xiaomi took 41.8% of the named market. For comparison: a year earlier, this company occupied only 4.3% in the designated industry. During the year, the demand for Xiaomi 5G devices in Central and Eastern Europe grew by 5700%.

Apple is in second place with a result of approximately 26.0% in the third quarter of this year. In the third quarter of 2020, the share of the «apple» empire was equal to zero.

South Korean giant Samsung closes the top three with a score of 11.5% against 34.3% a year earlier. Thus, the three named companies together occupy almost 80% of the said market.

The top five also included Realme and OnePlus with 7.2% and 2.5% respectively. In general, the demand for 5G smartphones among Europeans is steadily growing.
