Xiaomi quietly announced its new Redmi-branded gaming laptop in China.

What is known

The novelty is called Redmi G 2021. It received a 16.1-inch display with a panel refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and two versions. The first is powered by an Intel Core i5-11260H processor paired with a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Such a laptop is charged from a 180-watt power source. The second model, in turn, received an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H chip, GeForce RTX 3060 graphics, the same amount of memory and 230W charging.

As for other characteristics, they are the same. Redmi G 2021 is equipped with a dual-fan cooling system with four heat dissipation outlets, Wi-Fi 6, DTX:X Ultra Sound support, full-size backlit keyboard, Xiao AI voice assistant, as well as HDMI 2.0, mini display port 1.4, USB 3.2 Gen2 and USB-C. The laptop running Windows 10 works, but in the future it is promised to be upgraded to Windows 11.

Price and when to expect

The Redmi G 2021 with an Intel chip will go on sale in China on September 23 for $880. The AMD version will be available on September 28th for $1,080.
