It will upgrade to Windows 11 for free.

Xiaomi showed in China the new gaming laptop Redmi G 2021 is an upgrade from last year’s model that offers top-end features at an affordable price.

The novelty received a 16.1-inch display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and low blue light emission. The laptops will be offered with a choice of two processors: Intel Core i5-11260H (11th generation) or AMD Ryzen 7 5800. The graphics in both cases are the same: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050.

Unlike many modern laptops that offer various combinations of RAM and ROM, the new Redmi version is available in one configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

The new Hurricane 3.0 heat dissipation system is responsible for dissipating heat. It consists of two coolers, four air outlets and five copper heat pipes. Xiaomi claims that this will help the laptop stay cool even under intense workloads.

The battery in both versions is 55Wh, but the Intel model comes with a 180W power adapter, while the AMD version comes with a 230W charging power. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6, the speakers received DTS: X Ultra surround sound. The laptops will be pre-installed with Windows 10 and will receive a free upgrade to Windows 11.

Redmi G 2021 with Intel will go on sale on September 23 at a price of 5699 yuan (62,200 rubles), the AMD version will be released on September 28, but it will already cost 6999 yuan (78,800 rubles). An international release date has not yet been announced.
