A trusted insider named Digital Chat Station, who has many confirmed leaks about Xiaomi smartphones, claims that Redmi will launch a smartphone with support for 120W fast charging in the global market. Presumably, we are talking about smartphones of the Redmi K50 series.

Some sources believe that Redmi K50 will use 67-watt charging. Perhaps this will be the case in the younger model, but the older one should stand out against its background.

In addition, there is information that after 120-watt charging, Xiaomi will continue to introduce support for more powerful charging in new smartphones. It is expected that the power of wired charging in the new flagships of the company will reach 150 watts. It is possible that the first device to support such powerful charging will be a representative of the Xiaomi 12 line.

Recall that back in May, Xiaomi introduced new charging technologies. The company said the 200W wired charging can charge a 4,000mAh battery up to 50% in just three minutes, and it takes about 8 minutes to fully charge it. The 120W wireless charging can charge a 4000mAh battery up to 50% in 7 minutes, and it takes 15 minutes to fully charge.

At the same time, China passed a law according to which the power of wireless charging cannot exceed 50 watts.
