The Redmi 10 smartphone, introduced a few days ago, has already received the MIUI 12.5 firmware update, which provided support for RAM expansion technology.

The memory pooling feature allows you to increase the amount of RAM by 1-3 GB, depending on the capacity of the drive. The novelty is available in versions with 64 GB and 128 GB of ROM, that is, you can add 1 GB and 2 GB of RAM, respectively, to the RAM.

So the Redmi 10 ends up with 5GB (4+1) of RAM in the base configuration, and either 6GB (4+2) or 8GB (6+2) in the max configuration. The 3 GB increase in RAM is available only in smartphones with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage.

Memory fusion support in Redmi 10 appeared in MIUI 12.5 Global Stable Version v12.5. 4.0 RKUMIXM. Recall that in the near future the smartphone will be presented in India, but as Redmi 10 Prime and without NFC.
