The network has detailed information about the cameras of the promising flagships Xiaomi-Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. They are expected to be released in December or even November of this year and will be the world’s first smartphones based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC. And they may also be the world’s first smartphones with 200MP image sensors.
According to the source, the main cameras of Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be represented by three modules. The top model will have sensors with a resolution of 200 MP (in the main module), 50 MP (in the module with an ultra-wide-angle lens) and 50 MP (in the periscope module with an optical 10x zoom). In Xiaomi 12, the main sensor is the same 200 megapixel, but there is no periscope. Modules with an ultra-wide-angle lens and for macro photography will also be installed.
In general, the cameras of Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra will repeat the cameras of Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra, adjusted for sensor resolution. Of course, both smartphones will have optical image stabilization, and in Xiaomi 12 Ultra — in at least two of the three modules.
