The OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone has been reviewed by DxOMark Labs, where experts rated its camera. They rated it well given the price, but it could have been better.
Recall that Nord 2 received one of the flagship optical sensors Sony-IMX 766. The same is installed, for example, in OnePlus 9 Pro. But if the latter earned 124 points, then the novelty received only 116.
However, if we consider the assessment in more detail, we can understand that everything is not so bad. For photos and videos, the Nord 2 scores 125 and 105 respectively, while the OnePlus 9 Pro scores 129 and 108. That is, the difference is very small.
The main loss of the younger model is associated with the capabilities of the ultra-wide-angle and especially the television camera. To be more precise, Nord 2 does not have the latter at all. Hence the low score.
The result is that the Nord 2 is very good in terms of main camera capabilities. It performs on par with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11. And given the significantly lower price, if the user doesn’t need good camera capabilities and ultra-wide, the Nord 2 could be a very good choice.
