Google, following Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung, will also ditch full power in their upcoming smartphones.

What is known

A Google spokesperson told The Verge following the announcement of the budget Pixel 5a device. The novelty is still equipped with a power supply, but the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro flagships will lose it. According to the company, a power supply is simply not needed, since most users already have a charger with a USB-C port.

Recall that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be presented this fall. New products will receive a proprietary tensor processor with a Titan M2 security chip. In addition, the smartphones will be equipped with water-resistant glass cases, OLED displays with a frequency of up to 120 Hz, new advanced cameras, as well as batteries with a capacity of more than 4000 mAh. Smartphones will support fast and wireless charging.
